Reminder: Chamber to Hold Special Meeting March 1, 2018. The Chamber is holding a Special Meeting to determine whether or not to include the Town of Bassano in our trading area. Alberta Chambers of Commerce Business Alert: Cannabis Legislation. The Provincial Government has introduced Bill 26, An Act to Control and Regulate Cannabis. The Southeastern Alberta Energy Diversification Strategy (SEEDS) is a regional collaboration of municipal, economic development, employment, and training institutions from SE Alberta including the City of Brooks and the County of Newell. SEEDS is currently exploring the social and economic impacts for the region from renewable energy and clean technology development. www.seedsalberta.ca
